worked at kovan today.
it was hell boring.
tonnes of ppl kept walking along the corridors,
but none paused to look at our stall.
i was so bored i almost fell aslp. -.-
oh wells.
christmas is over.
so i guess there wont be as much ppl buying stuff.

quite tempted to job hop.
it's not that i dislike what i do right now.
i'm jst pretty frustrated abt the nitty gritties.

first of all,
pay isnt doubled on public hols (which most other places offer).
i was made to work on christmas eve and the day itself!
had to make others compromise with my schedule.
and it's not like i'm a permanent staff.
i dont need to commit my entire week 24/7 to working.

secondly,
the boss is a hypocrite.
she gives us free bracelets/earrings,
on the pretext of advertising for her.
when her ulterior motive,
is to buy our hearts over.
so that we can overlook the meagre pay etcetc,
and dont quit.

thirdly,
the boss is very irritating.
i can understand that most stall owners
msg their employees to ask abt sales.
but not once every hour right!?
once every two hours i can understand.
but once every hour is very stressful you knw.
esp whn you dont make any sales within the hour.
totally crushes ur confidence.
it makes me doubt my abilities.

fourthly,
i'm not too keen on the idea
of only having two days leave for CNY.
okay, this probably doesnt have much link to job hopping,
since most retail shops also open on chu san.
so this is mre of a
"i want to quit and find a better job after CNY" issue.

fifthly,
i dont even like the products that i'm selling.
personally,
i wouldnt waste my 25bucks on a shirt with no brand.
MNG basic tops cost around 15bucks!
and it's branded!
i mean, okay it's 25bucks.
but so what?
imported from korea and hand-sewn.
SO WHAT?
the cutting isnt that great either.

lastly,
the boss still owes me last week's pay.
it's four days overdue.
like hello?
whatever happened to punctuality?
and she didnt even call or msg to tell me so.
i had to ask her!
so does it mean that if i didnt ask,
you wouldnt hand over my pay to me?

to be honest,
my initial motive for working,
is not about the money.
it's about gaining experience.
to add to my resume.
but seriously,
how would you feel if your boss owes you your pay.
i dont knw abt you guys,
but i seriously lose my mood to work.

in addition, i had to scrimp and save even more than usual.
becos my parents have stopped giving me pocket money.
so i have to rely on whtever i earn to buy lunch/dinner.
but i only set aside 50 bucks of my pay for that,
and the rest of my pay goes into the bank.
50 bucks for lunch AND dinner outside for two weeks?
that simply isnt enough.
draw money from the bank you say?
that's not possible,
cos i dont have and dont want to have an atm card.
i can forsee myself going on an out of control spending spree.

so yea.
that about wraps things up.
i feel so much better now that i've vented my frustrations about work.
this blog aint so hateful afterall. XP

on a happier note,
i received a belated christmas present from a close friend today.
it's a GUESS wallet.
i'm thrilled about receiving sth so expensive.
but i'm not a big fan of GUESS.
cos it's not only heavy,
but looks too mature and auntie-ish for my age.
though i really appreciate the thought of buying me a gift!
