cocktail reception does not mean you drink cocktail! it means you mingle around with the guests, eating light snacks while the management ensures that the dining area is ready. but you can order soft drinks and juices i think. soft drinks are usually free flow. i'm not sure whether there is a surcharge for juices though. who cares! the school's paying anyway. i personally feel that it is best to arrive 10 - 15 mins before the cocktail reception ends. hope everyone has fun at the party! ^^
